Luciano da Silveira Araujo

Luciano graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at (FAU-USP) , in 2021. He assumed the position of Director of the Innovation Secretariat of São Paulo City Hall, where he created Conecta Hub.SP and acts as coordinator. The Hub aims to catalyze innovation and technology through the connection between the Public Power, Academia and the Private initiative, with a focus on the citizen and on generating public value. He currently leads the São Paulo City Hall working group to study the impact of 5G on the implementation of Smart Cities concepts. With professional experience in the areas of Design and Innovation that exceeds 20 years of international experience, mainly in leadership positions, having received several national and international awards. He holds a US patent in the field of Aeronautics and autonomous navigation. Professor of Design at IED; Visiting Professor of Design Thinking at the One MBA at FGV; Former Head of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of technology) Bootcamps, Brazil. Mentor at the MIT Design X Accelerator at the MIT Faculty of Architecture. Acted as a consultant in several verticals, from Venture Design to Artificial Intelligence applied to business. During the pandemic, Luciano mentored in 3 editions of the MIT Covid Challenge and the MIT Grand Med Hack, and the OHSU Invent-a-thon in Oregon. His passion and expertise in Innovation led him to act globally as a mentor and work face-to-face across 5 continents at MIT guiding + 60 innovation teams and students from + 70 nations. He served face-to-face as a professor and mentor of innovation and entrepreneurship at MIT React, Jordan, an innovation program for refugees in Amā. As an entrepreneur he founded companies in Brazil and with international operations in the areas of Design, Agtech, River Logistics and Acceleration and Internationalization companies.
