During his stay at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, a Powered by AbleGamers partner, Carson enjoyed playing video games in their adaptive gaming program. But when Carson returned home, he realized he wasn\u2019t able to play. It was difficult for him to use a standard handheld controller.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AbleGamers Peer Counselors worked with Carson to find him the right equipment. “They were great, giving me options and getting me the right equipment,” said Carson. Our Peer Counselors found the Quadstick to be a good option. The Quadstick is an adaptive device that would become his gateway back into the gaming world. The impact on his life was profound, as he explained, “I have my ‘own’ time where I can do things on my own again. I now have something to look forward to every day.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Carson is honing his skills with the Quadstick and will soon venture into online gaming again. He looks forward to connecting with others through this shared passion, and he can\u2019t wait to play games like COD, Madden, GTA, and Fortnite.
